Why is PartyLite a good fit for you?
I don't know where I'd be without PartyLite. I love this career. I schedule when I work so I never miss out on a thing with my children. It's fun and doesn't feel like a job. It's like getting paid for your hobby. Plus, I love candles so the products are a bonus.

Favourite Fragrance Memory:
Coconut and pineapple, the smell of suntan lotion reminds me of good times at the beach with my family.

Why did you start a part-time PartyLite business?
I earn a good salary as a Retail Merchandise Planner, but when I bought my first home, I was living paycheck to paycheck just to pay the bills. I needed extra income, but didn't want to work all weekend for minimum wage. With PartyLite, I work when I want. It's fun, doesn't take much effort and I make a lot more money.

What about the people?
Everyone makes you feel you're an important part of the family. There's a connection, a culture of wanting to help others.
TAMI

STARTED PARTYLITE IN 1995
WORKS PARTYLITE FULL-TIME

What sparked your PartyLite career?
I was a 22-year old single mom trying to work full time and go to university. I had no money and no time. Starting with PartyLite was free, so I gave it a try. It took so little time and paid so well I was able to quit my other job and focus on school and my son.

Say someone is thinking of starting a PartyLite business, what's one big fact he or she should know?
PartyLite takes care of everything for you, including the host program (which is the best around). With a lot of other companies you give up a portion of your commission for host rewards, so even though they promote a higher commission, you don't really make that much. PartyLite even ships our orders, so we don't have to keep an inventory – makes it so easy.

That was so good, how about a second - what's another big message about PartyLite?:
PartyLite is still going strong after 40 years. We're past all the hiccups that startups go through. We're established; we're in the black financially. The company has the money and resources to stand behind Consultants and help us grow.

What do you love about PartyLite?
This business is so much more than just money. I'm tied in emotionally. We support each other and it's nice knowing someone has your back. You don't get that with other jobs. This business helped me believe in myself and I want to do the same for others. Karma is an interesting thing, you have to pay it forward.

Why PartyLite?
I had a full scholarship to a big college for baseball, but got injured and lost it. I jumped into PartyLite full force, super motivated after two years of college. The paychecks kept me motivated, but when I saw the top income earners making six figures, I said that's exactly what I want.

VERONIQUE

ONTARIO, CA
STARTED PARTYLITE IN 2009
WORKS 20 HOURS PER WEEK

What's your PartyLite backstory?
I went to college to study gerontology. After graduation I worked a few jobs in my field, but soon realized I can't stand having a boss. My mom was a new Consultant and talked about how much fun it was, so I joined. Now, I can't imagine doing anything else. I'm full time and I really love it.

Okay, let's count the ways. What do you love about PartyLite?
Flexibility is important. For instance, I took a week off to go to Cuba and didn't have to ask anyone. My team kept moving and I had a worry free vacation. I also love earning a full time wage working part time hours.

Pardon the cliché, but what's your secret to success?
I do a lot of business through texts and on Facebook. I'm young and have a younger team. I take selfies and share how much fun I'm having.

What is inspiring about your story:
There's no one definition of a successful Consultant. When I started PartyLite I was a homebuilder superintendant by day, the only female in a male world. I cleaned mud and sawdust off my shoes before Parties. One day, I was let go with no warning. I decided I would never rely on anyone else for my livelihood. With PartyLite, even when the economy is down, there are programs in place to keep my business going strong.

Favourite PartyLite Fragrances:
Ebony Oud and Spiced Plum.
