What sustainability means to us
Since our founder, Mabel Baker, started the company, we’ve been crafting the best fragrances for over 100 years. As we’ve grown, we’ve committed to fostering an ethos of care for our planet through achievable, sustainable goals. PartyLite is dedicated to formulating safe and family-friendly products. We use clean burning wax in our candles and our flameless forms are less harmful to the environment.
Sustainable Products
Sustainability is a passion and a principle for us, which means that our flameless forms are made with that in mind. Thanks to these eco-friendly guiding principles, we have developed our AromaPure™ Car Fresheners, SmartBlends™ and SmartScents fragrance sticks which are all made of paper that has been sourced from sustainable forests.
We have also produced environmentally-friendly candle forms thanks to Votives that leave behind no wax once they’ve burned down, plus our Jar Candles and Tealights are recyclable once the wax has burned all the way through. The lifecycle of our Jar Candles doesn’t end with the candle either, we encourage the PartyLite family to upcycle our products.
Our BePURE Commitment™ and No No List™
The PartyLite Promise to our community is that we will follow our BePURE Commitment. This means our clean-burning artisan candles are created in small batches, contain natural essential oils and their 100% natural wicks contain no lead. The design of our candles means we look to maximize renewable resources, plant derived ingredients and recycled materials.
As part of our BePURE Commitment, we have come up with a 40 item No No List, which contains the ingredients that we will never place into our fragrances. These include parabens, phthalates, sulfates and dyes that are all harmful to people and the planet. PartyLite products will never contain animal products, are never tested on animals and are always cruelty free.
Sustainable Packaging
It is our commitment to do business in ways that are good for people and the planet. Our pledge is to make things better together, that includes encouraging our community to join us in making life improvements that are friendly to our planet.
We're proud that our eco friendly product packaging is not only modern and stylish, but is made from recycled materials.
We changed our plastic shopping bags into paper ones, the new bags are made from 100% organic material and are 100% recyclable, biodegradable and reusable. They’re also made from recycled paper and printed with ink free of chemicals.
Not only that, all of our shipping boxes are kinder to the planet. We've done this by shipping small orders in smaller boxes which means using less packaging in general. We're also packing all orders with recycled and recyclable paper. This means that we're reducing PartyLite's environmental footprint significantly each year by avoiding usage of 12 million litres of Styrofoam.
At PartyLite we always encourage our customers to get involved with our BePURE Commitment and play their part in helping to save the planet. Please re-use our shipping boxes for storage, repacking new shipments, pet beds, floor protectors and even weed control when laid under paving in the garden.
